Balloon into the heart of the desert in Dubai

December 4, 2014 Roshni Agnani
Hot Air Balloon over Dubai

A magical hot air ride over sand dunes, oases and camels awaits you at Dubai. You can witness different hues of the sunrise over the desert during this luxurious journey. You feel so close yet so far from the glitz and the glamour of the city.

Ballooning over the Desert

Balloons soar over 4000 feet high during your one hour flight moving across canyons of Dubai Desert Conservation Range. You may spot wandering camels and gazelles from your balloon. You see the vast desert beneath you and wonder where it ends. Views of the giant dunes, the moon-like landscape of the rugged mountains and the "ultra-modern" skyline of Dubai are breathtaking. The hot air balloons can accommodate as many as 24 people. However, options are available for lesser no of people too including couple ballooning.

Other interesting things to do in Dubai:

Burj Khalifa

Burj Khalifa is the tallest tower in the world and a magnificent piece of style and architecture. Climbing your way up the tower you can get to its highest point. Standing here, you literally feel on top of the world and get to view amazing skyline of Dubai city.

Belly Dancing

A Desert Safari is a good way to experience the fascinating Arab culture. These safaris include camel treks, sand-skiing on surfboards, alfresco Arabian barbeques, music, belly dancing, falconry displays and even sleepovers in Bedouin tent.

Dubai Night Skyline

The Dubai Shopping Festival deserves a special mention at this time of the year. The Dubai festival initially started as a retail event to revitalize retail trade in Dubai in 1995. This month long even is being promoted as a major tourist attraction and attracts almost 3 million people to Dubai. The festival dates this year have been fixed at January 3, 2015 – February 3, 2015.
