Declared as the Geopark by UNESCO, Langkawi is a cluster of 99 small islands in the Andaman Sea.

The Underwater world is a must see. It has a gigantic 15-meter long walk-through tunnel consisting of 500,000 liter seawater which houses many big fishes and sea creatures including the Giant Green Turtle. The place also houses Penguins, Dinosaur fishes and leopard sharks.
Another highly recommended tour is the Mangrove tour, which takes you by boat through the Mangrove forest. As you venture out, you will see the magnificent limestone rock formations and sea stacks that rise dramatically from the ocean. You will also witness some wildlife which includes bizarre land walking fish, vividly colored kingfishers, eagles and often otters and dolphins.
Watch the Ancient rainforest from the cable car which is situated next to the Oriental village- a theme shopping centre showcasing Malaysian and Oriental architecture.
Other than that, the Eagle square is one of Langkawi’s best known man made attractions where you will see the 12 metre long Eagle poised to take flight. You will also see small fountains, terraces and bridges making it a postcard- perfect holiday picture. This is also the harbor where ferries ply when one comes to Langkawi by sea.
The island is also famous as a shooting spot for Bollywood movies like Don, Yaadien, etc.
